VMUGs, VMware, Clouds and Giveaways – it’s a perfect mix!

I love VMUGs, I love conventions, I love VMware and I love giveaways, which means I love working for Actifio even more!    At Actifio we are going to have a few busy weeks as we hit the region as part of VMware Solutions Symposium 2012 (plus the next Melbourne VMUG – see below).  The VMware Solutions Symposium (VSS) is a free, interactive one-day event series that caters for both technical and business level audiences with informative sessions to help them on their cloud journey.  It’s all about Cloud based IT Transformation and Actifio is a perfect fit.  This is because if you are moving to IT as a service, then the first thing you should do is lock in Service Level Agreements (SLAs).  Creating and enforcing Data Protection SLAs is built into Actifios DNA with the simplest implementation method I have ever seen.

The good news is that VSS will hit most Capital cities in Australia and New Zealand (except Sydney, which instead gets VForum on November 14/15).

Registrations for VSS can be made here.   Locations (which are mainly hotels) are also listed on the website.   The dates and places are as follows:

Perth on July 12.  Actifio will be there with our partner Stott and Hoare.

Brisbane on July 17. Actifio will be there with our partner Intalock.

Wellington on July 24.  Actifio will be there with our partner ViFX.

Auckland on July 26.  Actifio will be there with our partner ViFX.

Melbourne on July 31.  Actifio will be there with our partner Rosetta Solutions.

Canberra on Aug 2.  Actifio will be there with our partner Qirx.

Adelaide on Aug 9.  Actifio will be there with our partner Logi-Tech.

We will have give-aways at every event including some sweet Apple hardware (did someone say iPad?).  All you have to do is answer a simple question about Actifio.  If you  refer someone to register, you can also win an iPad2 from VMware (so refer your work colleagues and win!).

But wait, there’s more….. Actifio will also be the sponsor at the next Melbourne VMUG on July 26.  Registration is now open and available to all VMUG members (it is free to join).  This is a great opportunity to meet with your peers to discuss and learn about virtualization trends, best practices and the latest technology (plus free food, drinks and an Apple TV giveaway!).

So register now and look for me and/or my colleagues at VSS and the Melbourne VMUG. I look forward to meeting with you all!
